SAC VALLEY CIRCUIT – League Overview

The Sac Valley Circuit is a youth basketball league in the Sacramento area offering two divisions—Competitive and Recreational—ensuring every team can participate at the level that fits them best. Each season includes 8 games, with the potential for additional matchups depending on playoff advancement.

Team Cost

$750 per team
(Covers all league games, gym fees, officials, and playoffs if qualified.)

WINTER LEAGUE DATES: JANUARY 31ST, FEBRUARY 7TH, FEBRUARY 21ST, FEBRUARY 28TH

PLAYOFFS CHAMPIONSHIP: MARCH 7TH

Division Descriptions

🏀 Competitive Division

Designed for advanced teams seeking a higher level of play.

  • Fast pace and elevated skill level

  • Prior league or tournament experience common

  • Emphasis on strategy, full-court defense, and high-intensity play

  • Ideal for athletes preparing for club, travel, or school competition

🏀 Recreational Division

Created for teams focused on development, growth, and fun.

  • Balanced matchups for newer or developing players

  • Emphasis on learning, teamwork, and confidence-building

  • Coaches encouraged to provide equal playing opportunities

  • Great for teams transitioning into structured league play

League Rules & Guidelines

  • Season Length:
    8 guaranteed games; playoffs may add 1–2 additional games for qualifying teams

  • Roster Requirements:

    • All players must be rostered before the first game

    • No guest players allowed

  • Player Eligibility:
    Teams must ensure age/grade compliance

  • Gameplay:
    Standard youth basketball rules apply; sportsmanship required at all times

  • Playoffs:
    Competitive division includes playoffs
    Recreational division may include a showcase or placement game depending on league size
